Saud Shakeel fell for 97 off Josh Tongue as England bowled Pakistan out for 194 on Sunday and won the second Test at Lord's by 194 runs, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Joe Root's side set Pakistan 389, a Lord's record chase, then closed the match on day four. Ollie Robinson took 4-24 on Sunday and 8-35 in the match, continuing a comeback summer of 23 wickets at an average of eight.
Robinson had Pakistan 14-3 in his third over, removing Azan Awais and Abdullah Shafique. Jofra Archer then bounced out captain Babar Azam at 89mph. Imam-ul-Haq was absent injured.
Shakeel and Shan Masood added 97 for the fourth wicket through a rain delay. Robinson came back to trap Masood lbw on review and Muhammad Rizwan lbw in successive overs. Shakeel took blows to the helmet from Archer and Tongue and kept going.
Tongue went short. Shakeel hit successive sixes, then a four to 96. One over later he set himself for the century and picked out Harry Brook at long leg. Tongue finished with 3-46. Pakistan have not reached 200 in four innings this series.
Muhammad Abbas took 5-57 in England's 208, including Dan Lawrence and Robinson, and finally landed on the Lord's honours board. The third Test starts at Edgbaston on Sept. 9.
